corporate image presentation is everything

Design that stands the test of time

Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence a year into the American Revolutionary War, rejecting King George III’s tyrannical authority and calling for an autonomous government. His original draft went through numerous revisions by John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and other members of the Continental Congress. The official version was signed on July 4, 1776, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by 56 members of Congress and is now displayed in Washington, D.C.

Do you suppose, if Jefferson were to write the Declaration of Independence today, he would present it to Congress, the American people and the King of England in a cheap, vinyl binder? Of course not! When it comes to important documents, presentation is everything.®

round back binderA Corporate Image round back binder would have been the perfect vessel for organizing, protecting and presenting this important piece of American history. Our round back binder has an architectural curve in its spine that fits the hand perfectly. King George would have been comfortable holding the binder, even if he wasn’t comfortable with the information inside of it!

The round back shape also contributes to the overall strength of our custom printed 3-ring binders. Corporate Image was one of the first binder manufacturers in the United States to use state-of-the-art technology that produces a FlexHinge spine. Rather than route or cut the binders board into multiple pieces to create the spine, Corporate Image uses a mechanical die process to form a flexible hinge while retaining the binders board fiber. This FlexHinge design offers unmatched strength and durability. In fact, Corporate Image binders showed no deterioration or change after being opened and closed more than 250,000 times, as tested by a third party — and we’re not talking about the Green Party (though they would appreciate that our binders are recyclable).

metallic foil stampingTo combat New England drizzles and mists, Jefferson may have opted for a custom gloss lamination with a linen finish — maybe with a red, white and blue motif. Turned edges would completely seal the binders board, offering exceptional water resistance along with a sophisticated look. He might have even requested metallic foil stamping to add a little spangle to the design. And since America was turning a corner in history, corner protectors would not have been remiss — they keep custom binders looking pristine and functioning great for years.

Now, some members of Congress may have wanted to keep all their important papers in one place — the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, etc. But just like church and state, these documents need to be separated. That’s why Corporate Image offers custom tab dividers that are just as elegant and functional as the binders themselves. From offset printed tabs to digitally printed tabs to cut sheets, endless custom styles are available to add a little personality, as well as organization. And for the 3-ring: a D-ring! This innovative design holds paper evenly on the right, so all the printed tab dividers line up and all the papers lie flush and neat — neater than George Washington’s powdered wig.

declaration of independenceAs a public servant, Jefferson would value Corporate Image’s stellar customer service, quality products and fair prices (don’t get him started on taxation). What’s more, Corporate Image has some of the fastest turnaround times in the country, which is a must-have when the British are coming! The British are coming!

Indeed, for a document passed from hand to hand and destined to withstand the test of time — like the Declaration of Independence — a high-quality Corporate Image round back binder with a FlexHinge spine, linen lamination and custom tab dividers would be as strong, as classic and as indomitable as the American spirit.

Corporate Image offers countless professional binder designs, giving you endless freedom to choose the solution that’s best for your project.
