Featured project: Food Service & Gourmet Binder for John Boos
It was our pleasure to work with the creative team of John Boos on this multi-faceted project which combines several different components into a beautiful custom binder. We love the use of different lamination films on their binder, the offset printed tab dividers and the binder pocket they created, and we were even able to add a special highlight to this project: a personal meet-up at HOW Design Live in Chicago!
The finishing of this binder is very unique as it uses a gloss lamination for the outside and a soft touch lamination with spot gloss UV for the liner. There is no print on the inside of the binder: the subtle pattern of repetitive logos is created solely through spot UV which forms a nice contrast to the matte of the soft touch lamination.
The custom tab dividers are a great way to organize the content – and the binder pocket in the back allows them to include additional information pieces in this set. All of these pieces were printed using the same brown PMS color to ensure the branding stays the same across all products of this set.
