Print Facts: The Sustainability of Presentation Materials

Sustainability in print

print facts: a little help for your print design needs

Together with our sister company, Naked Binder, our three decades of being a sustainable manufacturer have helped us raise the bar for the entire North American binder and presentation products field. Corporate Image creates products that will last, but not at the cost of the environment.

Why not vinyl?

There are so many reasons to choose an alternative over vinyl products:

Durability: Vinyl binders fall apart. The hinges are weak and affected by both heat and cold. This means you replace them constantly. A well made binder – like those made by Corporate Image or Naked Binder – has been tested to 250,000 openings – so the cover won’t fall off even if you use it 20 times a day for 30 years.

Health: The plasticizers in your vinyl binder are toxic. A vinyl binder will off-gas for it’s lifetime, affecting the air in your office or home. These toxins are released into our ground water from landfill and add to issues of the approx 9300 landfill fires every year.

Sustainability: Vinyl is not recycled in the U.S. except for a small amount during the manufacturing process, and massive amounts of vinyl are being landfilled every year.

Recycled materials save the planet and look beautiful.

Corporate Image uses 100% post consumer waste board to create better binders, and we work with many recycled stocks including Neenah papers and folding papers to make your folders, boxes and packaging!

Great range of options and benefits

A sustainable 3-ring binder, box or pocket folder from Corporate Image is not only crafted with outstanding quality, our products are stronger, have better printing and more options.

Finishing options: Need spot UV or varnish? 4 color process with spot colors? Mixed materials – say a cloth and printed binder? Foil stamping and debossed logos? Vinyl and plastics don’t have the same range of options we can offer you to make your presentation or sample kit stand out.
